Cape Tribulation is the northern-most tourist stop on the East Coast. I went because everyone else had been there, but it didn't seem like there was much to see.

This was one of the most boring day tours I've taken in Australia. It was rainy and gray outside, and the scenery was lousy. The tour guide sucked.

Cape Tribulation.

Should the poor fellow in the sign make it back to shore, he would douse his oozing wounds with vinegar, which is kept in white holders (like the one on the right) all along the beach. We couldn't do much swimming because the box jellyfish were everywhere. And apparently saltwater crocodiles, too. Our guide said that salties have been spotted up to 30 km offshore. Then we argued about who would win in saltie vs. shark fight (concensus was that the shark would win).

A cute joey.
