In February 2003, I took a short business trip to San Francisco. Between meetings, I was able to snap a few photos in and around the city. All photos were taken by me, except for a few shots taken of myself by friends. If you click on any photo, you'll get a larger version. Feel free to leave a note in the guestbook.

My flight to San Francisco took me over the Grand Canyon.

The Colorado River (or one of its tributaries) cuts through the rock.

A plateau. These Grand Canyon pictures are a study in geology.

These two match up almost perfectly.

Neato!

Exotic-looking water. Lake Mead?

The representatives from our district: Angela (manager), Stephanie (my boss), Diane (manager), and me.

The hotel I stayed at.

Rolling hills on the way to Modesto.

Seals in Fisherman's Wharf.

Lots of seals.

Alcatraz. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to take a tour.

This guy followed us around on his unicycle. He was unbelievably gay.

Jeremy. He's the manager I shared a room with.

The Golden Gate Bridge from afar.

The Golden Gate Bridge.

A closer look.

Another shot.

Here's a cross-section of one of the cables that supports the Golden Gate Bridge. Each cable is made of thousands of little cables.

A pet cemetery near the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Transamerica building. Know what Transmerica does?

Lucky shot.

City Hall.

Pac Bell Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go inside.

San Francisco from nearby Twin Peaks.
