We camped for 2 nights on Fraser Island, the world's biggest pile of sand and the only place you'll find pure-bred dingos. We spent the first day driving up and down the beach.
Here's the fam just before getting on the ferry to Fraser Island. From left to right: Neil (English), Lindsay (Canadian), Kenny (Scottish), Tonje (Scottish/English), Jane (English), Kirsty (English), Steve (Scottish), and me.

We drove off the ferry and into some pretty dense forest. Sandy roads led us to the beach.

Many of the roads were being covered by shifting sands.

Driving on the beach was lots of fun. Streams cut trenches into the beach, and the fast-moving tides made certain parts of the beach impassable.

Tonje and Kirsty didn't like sitting in the back because the ride quite bumpy and they'd get tossed around quite a bit. At one point, Kirsty was airborne.
